Role OverviewThe International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to humanitarian crises, helping restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power. The IRC in Northern California provides services including economic empowerment, immigration, community gardening, and case management. This position supports Limited-English-Proficient CalWORKs, RCA, CalFresh Employment & Training clients in Alameda County LEP, VESL, and Employment Services Programs.
What You Will Do
Complete county-mandated intakes, orientations, appraisals, assessments, and self-sufficiency plans; enroll clients into VESL and/or ES activities; coordinate activities and reporting with project partners; monitor monthly participation; and submit accurate reporting to the county. Provide one-on-one job coaching, employment preparation, and resource navigation while ensuring compliance with IRC and county program requirements.

Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of direct services experience preferred
- Experience completing intakes, orientations, assessments, or case management in a social service, workforce, or educational setting
- Strong understanding of job search processes, workplace norms, and employer expectations; familiarity with the East Bay job market preferred
- Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or LEP populations
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and manage deadlines
- High digital literacy (Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Box/Dropbox, and web-based databases)
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written
- Fluency in English required; bilingual abilities in Dari/Farsi, Pashto, Spanish, Arabic, Tigrinya, Russian, or Ukrainian highly preferred
- Valid driver’s license, reliable insured vehicle, and willingness to travel throughout Alameda County
