Job Description
Chicago Public Schools (CPS) is seeking a Sign Language Interpreter to work with Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students in connection with the CPS Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing program. The interpreter will be responsible for conveying teacher instruction and intent through sign language, assisting students with daily activities, and facilitating communication between students and others.
Requirements
Accompany Deaf or Hard-of-Hearing students to classes and convey teacher instruction and intent through sign language
Assist deaf/hard-of-hearing students with daily activities
Facilitate communication between students and others
Consult with teachers regarding individual student concerns
