Role OverviewAssists school teachers in instructing and supervising students to provide a well-organized classroom environment. Prepares instructional materials, supervises children, reinforces classroom lessons, and provides other assistance as requested.
What You Will Do
Assists assigned teachers in preparing materials, supervising children, and reinforcing lessons. May assist special needs students or coordinate special projects.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Must possess or be able to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. Must be able to obtain the Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) within two years of hire.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree
- Two years of college (minimum of 48 semester hours)
- Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment Test
- One year of experience working with children in an educational setting (preferred)
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to obtain the Child Development Associate Certificate (CDA) within two years of hire
