Role Overview

The Education Coordinator provides trauma-informed educational support while advocating for student success and educational stability. This role is responsible for coordinating all educational services for youth participating in virtual learning, ensuring academic progress, educational compliance, and collaboration between schools, families, residential staff, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • valid Administrative Certification, Educational Leadership Certification, or Special Education Certification; Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) certification preferred
  • minimum of five years of experience working with disadvantaged, at-risk, or vulnerable youth in educational, residential treatment, foster care, behavioral health, or community-based settings
  • knowledge of IEP and 504 processes, virtual learning platforms, and educational advocacy
  • strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with schools, families, and multidisciplinary teams
