Role OverviewThe Education Program Specialist - Dispute Resolution will coordinate the special education mediation and facilitation program, provide technical assistance, and collaborate with various stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the program. The role involves training contracted mediators, documenting and managing the mediation process, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting the State Advisory Panel for Exceptional Children. The work location is 25 South Front Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215, and the position may require in-person reporting during the initial training period.
What You Will Do
The Education Program Specialist - Dispute Resolution will perform various duties, including acting as the coordinator of the special education mediation and facilitation program, providing technical assistance, communicating with impartial hearing officers, and documenting and managing the mediation process. The role also involves training contracted mediators, collecting and analyzing data, and collaborating with internal staff on fiscal and procurement procedures.
