Job Description
The Education Program Specialist - Urban Supports position is responsible for building capacity in urban school districts to improve educational services and outcomes for students with disabilities. The ideal candidate resides in Cuyahoga County and will provide support to the Cleveland Municipal School District.

Requirements

  • 6 years of experience in education administration, special education, or education experience in an urban setting
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to measure impact of supports on student performance
  • Verifies compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Operating Standards for Ohio's Schools Serving Children with Disabilities
  • Develops and disseminates technical assistance resources
  • Assists districts with self-review summary reports and the development and completion of Corrective Action Plans and Improvement Plans
