Job Description
The Education Program Specialist position at the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce is responsible for overseeing federal civil rights compliance, implementing federal education and workforce grants, and providing technical assistance to local districts. The role also involves planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Carl D. Perkins secondary grant, and collaborating with other units in the office of Career-Technical Education and the Ohio Department of Higher Education.

Requirements

  • administering, implementing, monitoring, or overseeing federal education or workforce grants like the Carl D. Perkins grant in secondary or postsecondary education
  • implementing federal civil rights compliance like the 1979 Guidelines or comparable civil rights framework
  • planning, facilitating, and delivering professional development, training, or workshops to adult stakeholders in virtual, in-person, and hybrid formats
