Role Overview

The Education Specialist (Moderate/Severe) will co-lead the Specialized Teaching Program, implementing evidence-based practices and interventions, and developing academic, social, functional, and vocational skills. They will work with the IEP team to ensure high-quality programming and collaborate with general education teachers to support Universal Design for Learning.

What You Will Do

Responsibilities include individual education program process, appraising academic and behavioral skills, providing a standards-based curriculum program, administering academic assessments, developing individual education programs, and facilitating IEP meetings.

The ideal candidate will have a valid California Credential or license authorizing service in grade levels and areas assigned as an Education Specialist, Moderate/Severe, and two years of successful, full-time teaching experience in Special Education. They will also possess strong organizational, planning, and implementation skills, and be able to manage ambiguity and multiple priorities.
