Role OverviewThe Educational Paraprofessional provides staff support in an educational environment, with emphasis on providing bilingual communication support to teachers, staff, and students. The position involves interpreting and translating classroom assignments, parent and student communications, and other school activities to support comprehension and transition for students for whom English is a secondary language.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include responding to internal and external customers, providing bilingual communication support, assisting students individually, communicating with parents and children, monitoring activities and behavior, and assisting teachers in supervision of learning activities.

Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher
- Passing the paraprofessional certification exam can substitute for the educational requirement
- Ability to fulfill the dexterity and physical requirements of the work
- Previous vocational training or work experience in a licensed childcare environment preferred
- Demonstrated written and oral linguistic skills in English and in a minimum of one (1) target language (Spanish, French, Creole, etc.)
