Role OverviewThis position is responsible for coordinating the academic needs of minors in a Child Facility Based Crisis Center. The Educational Specialist will work with school systems, guardians, and treatment teams to ensure that patients do not fall behind in their academic work. The role requires ongoing contact with school personnel, maintaining accurate records, and making adjustments to services as needed.
What You Will Do
The main responsibilities of this role include understanding educational pathways, obtaining guardian consent, maintaining contact with school personnel, and assisting with homebound instruction. The Educational Specialist will also assure that minors have the necessary devices and academic materials, and that remote education is accessible as needed.

Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate's Degree
- Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Education and/or Human Services field
- At least 2 years of experience working directly with a school system
- Strongest consideration given to someone with at least 2 years working in a public school setting as a teacher, social worker, psychologist, special education employee, guidance counselor, or administrator in a county office
