Job Description
Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop Individual Education Plans, implement instructional programs, and manage student behavior. Employ various instructional techniques and media to meet student needs. Work cooperatively with classroom teachers and consult with district and outside resources.

Requirements

  • Collaborate with students, parents, and other members of staff to develop Individual Education Plans
  • Implement an instructional, therapeutic, or skill development program for assigned students
  • Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to modify regular curricula as needed
  • Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet the needs and capabilities of each student
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing
  • Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to IEP
  • Consult with classroom teachers regarding management of student behavior according to IEP
  • Keep informed of and comply with federal, state, district, and school regulations and policies
