Role OverviewThe EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role plays a critical part in promoting a safe work environment within a galvanizing facility, minimizing risk, and supporting continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
What You Will Do
Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments throughout the facility, investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and maintain and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, strong knowledge of industrial safety practices and hazard recognition, and excellent communication and training skills.
Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- 2–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (galvanizing, steel, or metal processing preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
