Job Description
An Election Deputy Director I assists an Election Director in conducting elections in local jurisdictions within the State, overseeing day-to-day operations of a local election office, and supervising election office support staff and volunteers.

Requirements

  • Assists an Election Director in conducting elections in compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and statutes;
  • Assists with the oversight and coordination of the day-to-day operations of a local election office to include: voter registration program, absentee balloting program, provisional balloting program, Same Day Registration program, redistricting precinct boundary programs, candidate filing, ballot preparation, voting equipment supplies purchase, voting equipment maintenance, inventory and site delivery;
  • Supervises, directly or through subordinate supervisors, election office support staff and volunteers, election judges, per diem staff to conduct canvasses and nursing home and assisted-living facilities absentee and voter registration programs;
