Job Description
The Electrical Assembler position is responsible for assembling subassemblies, accessories, and final assemblies, with a focus on electrical and mechanical assembly. The role involves using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and power tools, and requires proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the areas of assembly.

Requirements

  • Ability to train peers
  • Advocate for Design for Assembly and Continuous Improvement ideas and suggestions
  • Electrical assembly of machines and machine options
  • Troubleshoot and repair assembly errors quickly and effectively
  • Ability to read and comprehend method sheets, work instructions, and basic engineering drawings
  • Follow directions from lead assembler and supervisor
  • Accurately prepares paperwork as assigned
  • Utilizes, maintains and cares for all Sharp Packaging supplied tools
  • Accurately read and follow electrical schematics to wire control panels and machines
  • Fiber optic terminations
  • Familiarity with different sensors, controls components, actuators, etc.
  • Enclosure basics
  • Can follow point-to-point wiring diagrams and help create from schematics and/or prototype machines
  • Wire routing hardware and best practices
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned subject to reasonable accommodations
