Job Description
The Electrical Controls Designer I supports the development and maintenance of electrical control panel designs and schematics used in conveyor systems. This position is well suited for someone early in their career who is interested in industrial controls and electrical design and is looking to build technical skills through hands-on experience, structured processes, and training in the EPLAN software suite.

Requirements

  • Support the development and maintenance of electrical panel designs and system schematics
  • Assist in maintaining standards for electrical design and panel wiring
  • Create and verify bills of material (BOMs) for electrical panels
  • Assist with component selection under the guidance of senior designers and engineers
  • Learn and apply company standards, safety requirements, and design guidelines
  • Use EPLAN (P8 / Pro Panel) to create and maintain schematics, reports, and standardized libraries
  • Collaborate with Controls Engineering and Panel Shop teams to support efficient panel builds
  • Assist with troubleshooting electrical panels during build and testing
  • Participate in quality checks and audits to ensure design accuracy and compliance
