Role Overview

As part of HDR's Building Engineering Services Group, you'll help design the critical infrastructure that supports the digital age and shapes the spaces where people work, connect, and thrive. You'll be a contributing team member of the BES electrical engineering section in the New England region, responsible for designing electrical systems, planning and designing building electrical systems, and performing engineering calculations.

What You Will Do

Your primary responsibilities will include designing electrical systems, preparing electrical designs, performing engineering calculations, developing single-line diagrams, and producing accurate and coordinated construction documents using Revit, AutoCAD, and other design software.

Requirements

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability/expectation to obtain EIT for career progression
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), International Building Code (IBC), NFPA standards, and applicable energy codes
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the A/E consulting industry or relevant internship/co-op experience
  • Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power
