Role Overview

This position will offer the opportunity to work in a project team environment with other engineers and designers involved in the design, modification, and analysis of new and existing power plant electrical systems. The role involves investigating, trouble-shooting, and solving a wide variety of electrical engineering issues. The position requires working on challenging assignments, preparing and reviewing detailed calculations, and preparing engineering documentation for design input for drawing production.

The main day-to-day responsibilities include working on challenging assignments, preparing and reviewing detailed calculations, preparing engineering documentation for design input for drawing production, and performing independent reviews of work performed by others.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program
  • 3 or more years of experience in the design of electrical engineering systems in a project team environment
  • Experience with electrical system design, including medium and low voltage distribution systems, equipment selection, and analytical calculations
  • Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving skills
