Role Overview

Join us in our mission to commercialize fusion energy as an Electrical Engineer - Instrumentation & Control (I&C). You will design, develop, and implement control systems for our advanced stellarator technologies. This role focuses on distributed control software, hardware integration, and lifecycle support of instrumentation and control solutions for highly complex scientific equipment.

What You Will Do

Develop distributed control software for stellarator systems and subsystems, design and implement instrumentation and control architectures for complex equipment, create comprehensive technical documentation, and support the full requirements lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience with instrumentation and control systems in complex technical environments
  • Experience with distributed, real-time control systems
  • Proficiency in control software development (e.g., C/C++, Python, PLC programming, or similar)
  • Experience with programming and interfacing with PLCs
  • Knowledge of requirements management and systems engineering practices
  • Experience with version control and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub
  • Experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
