Role OverviewPrincipal Electrical Engineer or Senior Principal Electrical Engineer position in the Huntsville Hardware Engineering functional department. This position will support one or more projects performing design engineering for integration of Command and Control systems, such as radios, networks, antennas, and power equipment, in support of Department of Defense projects.
What You Will Do
Primary responsibilities are cable harnesses design, power analysis, and interconnect diagrams for COTS and GFE equipment. Additional tasks include research, development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer science engineering or related STEM degree
- Minimum 5 years experience (for level 3) or 9 years experience (for level 4) in electrical design engineering
- Experience supporting designs in production, fabrication, and test
- General knowledge of product design, integration of subsystems that include network communication (Wired and Wireless), power design and distribution, interconnect diagrams, and wire harness/cable design
- Experience in performance of trade studies to identify components that meet system and subsystem requirements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio, Cameo, AutoCAD, and NX
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
