Role OverviewThe Electrical Engineer will apply principles and techniques of electrical engineering for the design and development of electrical equipment and systems. This includes concept development, specification of electrical loads, hardware specification, control sequence development, and controller programming. The role involves creating engineering drawings and technical documents, developing and adhering to project schedules and budgets, and verifying equipment performance against design specifications.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include developing and designing electrical components, equipment, facilities, and systems for manufacturing processes, specifying electrical hardware, designing hardware layouts, programming PLC and DCS control equipment, and performing value analysis engineering. The role also involves reviewing and approving designs and project plans, writing maintenance procedures, and guiding or leading project activities.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of computer programs and systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems, or Line Drive Systems. Experience with vision and robotic systems in a manufacturing environment is also desirable.
Requirements
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-10 years' experience working in a production operations environment
