Role OverviewThe Electrical Engineer designs, documents, validates, and supports electrical and electronic systems used in Eagle Traffic products and customer solutions. This role translates customer plans, specifications, applicable standards, and manufacturing requirements into accurate wiring diagrams, bills of material, cabinet layouts, work instructions, test procedures, and released engineering documentation.
What You Will Do
Develop electrical designs for new and existing traffic signal, lighting, communications, networking, and ITS control cabinets and related assemblies. Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, panel layouts, cable drawings, and supporting design documentation using AutoCAD or other approved CAD tools.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a closely related discipline
- Experience in electrical design, controls, systems integration, industrial electronics, transportation technology, or a related engineering environment
- Working knowledge of traffic signal control equipment, controllers, cabinet architectures, detection, communications, networking, and related ITS technologies
- Familiarity with MUTCD, NEMA traffic standards, UL requirements, ATC standards, and/or Caltrans specifications
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or comparable electrical CAD software
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical layouts, bills of material, and technical specifications
- Hands-on ability to use multimeters, electrical/electronic test equipment, hand tools, and power tools safely
- Strong troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical decision-making skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to production employees, suppliers, customers, and non-technical stakeholders
