Role Overview

Join the IPG team as an Electrical Engineer, providing electrical engineering support for new and existing products. The role involves handling general electrical engineering tasks, ensuring products meet global requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include designing and developing electrical systems, managing agency compliance, supporting purchasing and vendors, and providing field service support and technical training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 4-7 years of experience in a product development / manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of electronics design
  • Proficient at Schematic Capture
  • Working knowledge of embedded software; assembly and C programming
  • Working knowledge of PLC programming or willingness to learn
  • Experience with global Safety and EMC compliance; UL / CSA / CE
  • Knowledge of Engineering documentation practices
  • Strong electro-mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent administrative, communication and organizational skills
  • Skilled in the use of PC applications including MS Office
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
