Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer Technician supports product verification activities through functional, electrical, and continuity testing of cable harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies. This role ensures hardware meets engineering requirements, quality standards, and end-user reliability expectations while enabling efficient production flow.

What You Will Do

Perform functional, electrical, and continuity testing on cable harnesses, electronic subassemblies, and electro-mechanical hardware. Interpret and work from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to execute test procedures accurately.

The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of basic electricity and practical aptitude using measurement equipment, with 2-5 years of related experience and ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, cable harness drawings, and engineering documentation
  • Foundational understanding of basic electricity (voltage, current, resistance) and practical aptitude using measurement equipment
  • Experience performing continuity, resistance, and functional electrical tests
  • Familiarity with hand tools and test tools commonly used for cable harness inspection and verification
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to follow instructions precisely, and maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar) for recording test results and accessing work instructions
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults (opens, shorts, mis-wires, intermittent conditions)
  • Ability to work safely with energized assemblies and follow ESD guidelines
  • U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance
