Role Overview

Samtec is seeking an Engineering Co-op to work and train as a Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit Engineer. The co-op will design, develop, and test Microwave/RF/Mixed-signal circuit blocks and supporting circuits. Working with a team of experienced Samtec RFIC engineers, the co-op will design custom RFICs using SiGe and RF-CMOS semiconductor processes.

What You Will Do

Design, simulation, and layout of Analog/RF Integrated Circuit blocks, starting from concept and transistor-level feasibility studies. Learn to use Cadence Virtuoso design suite for simulation and creating schematics, symbols, and layouts.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The co-op will have the opportunity to work in the lab to test, characterize, and validate designs, and participate in design review process. Familiarity with common lab tools such as soldering iron, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, etc. is required.

Requirements

  • Presently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Program
  • An interest in transistor level, analog circuit design
  • Previous or current coursework in: Analog IC design, RF and Microwave circuit design, Semiconductors, Electromagnetism
