Role Overview

The Electrical Foreman will ensure that planning, laying out, installing, and wiring electrical components are completed as per project drawings specifications and following applicable electrical codes. The Foreman will manage a crew of 10-15 Journeymen and Apprentices, and be responsible for the Safety and Field Labor on the project assigned.

What You Will Do

Manage tasks to achieve or exceed production targets provided by General Foreman, ensure all work installed meets CEC, NEC, state, federal, or any other codes that apply to the project jurisdiction, and promote a safe work environment by enforcing all company and owner guidelines and OSHA safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred
  • A valid Class A or B license from the State of Iowa is preferred
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure
  • Ability to make complex cuts not to waste material, and figure out complex forming systems
  • Training and complying with all safety rules, and performing without constant supervision
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with customers and co-workers
