Role OverviewThe successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high-quality contractor performance, quality assurance, contract compliance, and the reliability of electrical infrastructure across the city. SEIMs will also support the NYC Streets Plan bus program by ensuring that electrical installations and inspections meet the standards required for street improvement projects, including the Cycling & Micromobility Network Expansion Program.
What You Will Do
Supervise electrical installations for street lighting, traffic signals, and capital construction projects. Ensure contract compliance, verify billing accuracy, and review project plans and specifications.

Preference will be given to candidates who possess a driver's license valid in the state of New York with no restrictions.
Requirements
- Four years of full-time satisfactory experience in the installation, repair and/or inspection of electrical equipment
- A combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the four years of experience required
- College education leading to a baccalaureate degree in engineering or engineering technology may be substituted for the required experience
- One year of full-time satisfactory experience working for a city agency or authority governed by the Personnel Rules and Regulations of the City of New York
