Role OverviewThis role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days a week in the office and two days remote. You'll work and lead others in a project team environment, designing, modifying, and upgrading power plant electrical systems. You'll review, supervise, and provide technical guidance on design deliverables, including cable schedules, grounding layouts, and electrical notes and details.
What You Will Do
You will be responsible for reviewing and supervising the production of design deliverables, working with management to develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and overseeing staff assignments, evaluations, and career development. You'll also lead multiple teams across multiple projects, coordinate with project management and discipline leads, and develop, monitor, and control project costs and schedules.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires 15+ years of detailed physical design experience, extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience, and a thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories. You'll need to be able to interface and communicate with engineering and design teams of other disciplines in the power plant design process.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in drafting, or a high school diploma and equivalent technical design experience
- 15 or more years of detailed physical design experience
- Extensive Microstation and/or AutoCAD design experience
- A thorough understanding of drafting and design practices and theories
