Role Overview

The Power Distribution Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of electrical power distribution systems across ArcelorMittal Calvert. This position provides technical expertise to maintenance, operations, and engineering teams through the development of maintenance strategies, system improvements, equipment reliability initiatives, and support for power system operations.

What You Will Do

Develop and maintain preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance strategies for power distribution assets utilizing the site's CMMS, monitor and analyze SCADA data, alarms, system events, and operational trends to improve system reliability and support troubleshooting efforts, and provide technical support and recommendations for power system-related decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required
  • Power Systems emphasis preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical power systems engineering within an industrial environment
  • Experience working with low-voltage and medium-voltage power distribution systems up to 34.5kV
  • Experience with SCADA systems, power distribution equipment, and electrical protection systems
  • Microsoft Office proficiency and strong computer skills
  • Strong technical communication skills with professionals, operations personnel, contractors, and construction trades
