Role OverviewParticipates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of hospital electrical systems and equipment under the supervision of a licensed electrician.
What You Will Do
Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical equipment, including low/high voltage services, panel boards, distribution systems, transformers, signal and paging systems, relays, switches, cables, and conduits.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, trade school graduate in electricity or equivalent, and a minimum of five years of electrical experience, including knowledge of motors, controls, and schematics.

- Knowledge of motors, controls, and schematics
- Knowledge of all types of power tools and electrical measuring meters
- Knowledge of NYC Electrical Code
- Working knowledge of all building, grounds, facilities, and department work areas
- Ability to read plans and trace circuits from prints and interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints and diagrams
- Ability to tread a pipe
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work with any of the other trades
- Strong verbal communication skills
