Job Description
The Facilities Management and Capital Planning department provides for the management and maintenance of 62 state-owned courthouses, and 42 leased facilities located in ten counties of the Commonwealth. This position is a senior maintenance technician responsible for installing, repairing, altering, maintaining and testing existing heating, venting and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment/systems or electrical systems.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • Four (4) years of related work experience
  • Possession of a current and valid Massachusetts journeyman electrician's license (for Electrician role) or a current and valid Massachusetts refrigeration license and an EPA 608/CFC certification (for HVAC role)
  • Knowledge of state and local electrical codes, inspection techniques used in the electrical trade, safety practices and precautions observed in the electrical trade, building structures, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), bio-hazard clean up, safety equipment, purchasing, and maintenance software
