Job Description
The Electrician supports UAB Facilities by performing skilled electrical work to install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems across campus buildings and infrastructure. This role ensures the safe and reliable operation of electrical equipment, lighting, power distribution, and control systems in academic, research, clinical, and administrative environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience.
  • Currently licensed with a Journeyman Electrician Registration from the City of Birmingham
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Minimum age of 21
  • At least three years of driving experience
  • Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
