Role OverviewThe Electrician will work under supervision to install, repair, and maintain high- and low-tension electrical systems that support lighting, heating, power, and communications across buildings, structures, and highways. This role involves working on electrical infrastructure that enables transit and street improvement projects.
What You Will Do
Key responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring systems, traffic signals, surveillance cameras, controllers, and related equipment in compliance with the NYC Electrical Code. The Electrician will also conduct diagnostic tests to identify faults and perform necessary repairs on existing installations.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have five years of full-time satisfactory experience as an electrician or equivalent experience as an electrician's helper or apprentice electrician, or education in the electrical or electronic field. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a valid New York State driver's license with no restrictions.
