Electronic Technician I

As an Electronic Technician I, you will assemble, troubleshoot, and test electronic assemblies of basic to moderate complexity. You will work in a team environment, interacting with manufacturing to ensure proper installation and testing of completed electronic assemblies. You will also participate in wiring diagram and interconnect drawing reviews, and troubleshoot electronic assemblies for production and aftermarket support.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assembling junction boxes, electronic controls, and other assemblies per mechanical and electrical drawings. You will install and test completed electronic assemblies, act as an inspector for final electronics checkout, and document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Why It Might Be a Fit

We are looking for someone who is able to use small hand and power tools safely, read and interpret drawings and bills of material, and have basic computer skills. You should have a working knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, and schematics, and be able to bench troubleshoot wiring. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently and follow written procedures are also essential.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or combination of work experience and skill development
• Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electronics, or other electronics-related discipline (ideally)
• 1-2 years of experience in an electronics technician capacity (ideally)
• Ability to use small hand and power tools safely
• Basic computer skills
• Working knowledge of wiring diagrams, interconnect drawings, and schematics
• Ability to bench troubleshoot wiring
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently and follow written procedures
