Job Description
The selected staff member will be a NYCHA employee assigned to Nostrand Houses and will work on behalf of the NYC Public Housing Preservation Trust. Under supervision, they will inspect, maintain, adjust, and repair passenger and freight elevator systems; maintain adequate elevator service to the development; and provide safe elevator service to NYCHA residents.

Requirements

  • Five years of full-time satisfactory experience acquired within the last ten years as an elevator mechanic
  • At the time of appointment, candidates must possess a valid New York State Elevator Mechanic License, a valid New York City Elevator Agency Technician License, a valid Department of Labor Technician's License, and a Department of Buildings Technician's License
