Role Overview

This is a professional work responsible for reviewing actions completed by Economic Specialist I (ESI). The primary duty of the incumbent is to spend the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training, and mentoring employees. The incumbent must have detailed knowledge of the eligibility processes, procedures, and applicable computer systems used in determining public assistance eligibility, monitoring, and measuring performance.

What You Will Do

Reviews and analyzes case records in accordance with the Quality Management System Plan and operating procedures. Discusses case reviews with staff and uses the case reading process as a positive learning and individual development experience. Ensures all cases are corrected timely and accurately. Develops performance and planning initiatives and corrective action plans as needed.

The incumbent must have one or more years' experience determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance. The incumbent must be able to provide consultation and advice to others, make decisions and solve problems, assist and care for others, establish and maintain relationships, judge qualities of things, services, and/or people, communicate with persons outside the organization, and get information needed to do the job.

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience determining eligibility for food stamps, Medicaid, and cash assistance
  • Detailed knowledge of the eligibility processes, procedures, and applicable computer systems used in determining public assistance eligibility, monitoring, and measuring performance
