Job Description
VCU Health's LifeEvac is an extension of our academic medical center, providing air and ground support for patient transfers. The Emergency Communication Specialist is responsible for emergency flight operations, dispatching flight teams, and coordinating helicopter operations.

Requirements

  • Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire: Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) Licensure or Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) Certification
  • Maintained EMT-B certification and CPR Certified Flight Communicator Course
  • High school graduate or GED and Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification (EMD)
  • Minimum of one year of active emergency medical services (EMS) experience or 911 dispatch experience
  • Ability to work in a complex environment, multi-task, and communicate effectively
