Role OverviewThe ED Tech is a member of the emergency department patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.
What You Will Do
Assists the registered nurse by gathering data on patient conditions, direct patient observation, and reports changes in patient medical and/or emotional condition. Documents interventions and patient responses according to policy.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from a school of practical nursing, or completion of a Certified PCA/PCT Program, Certified Nurse Assistant Program, Medical Assistant Program, EMT Program, or Phlebotomy training program
- Six months direct patient care experience (preferred)
- Good analytical and observational problem-solving skills
- Mathematical ability to perform calculations
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- Good reading, writing, and comprehension skills
- Physical ability to walk, stand, lift, and move equipment
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to perform routine clerical functions
