Role OverviewThe ED Tech is a member of the emergency department patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities.
What You Will Do
Assist the registered nurse by gathering data on patient conditions, direct patient observation, and report changes in patient medical and/or emotional condition. Assist nursing personnel in responding to various emergency patient situations.

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from a school of practical nursing, or completion of a Certified PCA/PCT Program, Certified Nurse Assistant Program, Medical Assistant Program, EMT Program, or Phlebotomy training program
- Six months direct patient care experience (preferred)
- Good analytical and observational problem-solving skills
- Mathematical ability to perform calculations
- Ability to adapt to new technologies
- High level of interpersonal and verbal skill and team work commitment
- Good reading, writing and comprehension skills
- Physical ability to regularly walk and stand, lift soiled linens and move equipment, assist patients in repositioning, transport, etc.
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to perform routine clerical functions
