Role OverviewThe Emergency Department Technician assists in patient flow and care of the ED, providing delegated and assigned tasks under the supervision of nurses and practitioners. The role requires well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on promoting customer service.
What You Will Do
The ED Tech will perform daily tasks, respond to a fluctuating patient census, and maintain a professional relationship with patients, visitors, staff, physicians, and the community.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will be either an AEMT or NRP with 1+ years of experience in these roles, and will be able to respond appropriately to stressful situations.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- CMA, LNA, EMT accepted
- AEMT, NRP preferred
- 1-2 years previous clinical experience preferred
- BLS
- Preferred Certification/Registration: PH
