Role Overview

Coordinates activities to mitigate, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters, both natural and man-made. Works on a 24/7 basis as part of a team.

What You Will Do

Formulate, revise, and implement policies and procedures, coordinate notification and response, develop analyses, and collect and analyze disaster information.

Requires experience in conducting research and writing reports, as well as completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, or related field.

Requirements

  • 36 months of experience conducting research and writing reports using operational, mathematical, analytical, and/or statistical research techniques
  • completion of an undergraduate core program in homeland security, political science, criminal justice, emergency management, public health, international affairs, or related field
