Emergency Services Supervisor

The Emergency Services Supervisor (ESS) reports to the Assistant Centers Director and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Emergency Services Department at Broward Outreach Centers in Hollywood, FL. This role supervises department staff and provides direct services to clients, representing The Caring Place at meetings concerning contracted services.

What You Will Do

Oversee the daily workflow of the Emergency Services Department, update HMIS database accurately, review case files with direct reports, and address performance issues. Ensure case activities are updated, lead staff file peer reviews, oversee the Client Resource Center, and link clients with community resources. Also oversee emergency situations, fire drills, and building security during extreme weather.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and Addictions Training and/or Certification
• At least two (2) years of demonstrated experience working with the homeless population
• Knowledge of homelessness and addiction issues
• Ability to recognize symptoms of common mental, physical, co-occurring alcohol/substance abuse addictions
• Competent administrative reporting skills
• Computer literate with experience in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency
• Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith
