Job Description
The Emergency Department Technician II provides patient services and care, cleans, maintains and stocks supplies and equipment and applies the principles of standard precautions and infection control. The ED technician is able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to provide services appropriate to the population and age group served in the emergency department.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of ED Technician experience
  • Phlebotomy, ECG Tech, EMT, or NA
  • Basic patient assessment skills including primary survey
  • Basic knowledge of primary interventions
  • Effective communication skills
  • High level of compassion, desire to help others, and self-confidence
  • Basic computer knowledge with demonstrated administrative skills
