Role OverviewAssists with emergency outpatients and performs approved duties under the direct supervision of the charge nurse.
What You Will Do
Transports patients, assists with ambulation, provides general and basic patient care, cleans and changes stretcher linen, empties dirty laundry, and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Ability to transport patients using wheelchair or stretcher
- Ability to assist patients with ambulation
- Ability to provide general and basic patient care
- Ability to clean and change stretcher linen
- Ability to empty dirty laundry
- Ability to label, bag, and deliver samples to lab per hospital protocol
- Ability to assist patients to dress and undress
- Ability to care for patient belongings
- Ability to restock linen and supplies in exam rooms
- Ability to answer phone calls and make appointments as directed
- Ability to review charge sheets and enter charges into AS-400
- Ability to provide direct observation for confused or psychiatric patients
- Ability to perform routine, uncomplicated treatment procedures
- Ability to set up for suturing and procedures
- Ability to immediately report any observed changes in condition or behavior of patients
