Job Description
The Emerging Arts Leader Internship offers a temporary opportunity for a dynamic candidate to join SAM and focus on conservation of East Asian paintings. The internship is 150 hours and funded by the IMLS Emerging Arts Leader Grant, with hourly compensation. Interns will assist with documentation, object housing, condition reporting, and gallery display projects, and will receive a temporary employee benefit package.

Requirements

  • Minimum undergraduate degree or currently enrolled in undergraduate program
  • Demonstrated interest in art conservation, museum collections, or related field
  • Some knowledge or experience with art handling, materials, or conservation practices
  • Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail
