Role Overview

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a Human Capital Management Senior Analyst to join our team. This role plays an important part in supporting OOD’s mission to empower Ohioans with disabilities through effective HR policies and services. As a Senior Analyst, you will help shape and implement policies related to employee benefits, payroll support, and absence management programs such as Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA). You will oversee and mentor Human Capital Management Analysts and Associate, ensuring consistency and accuracy in processes across the agency.

What You Will Do

In this position, you will manage a variety of HR functions, including reviewing and processing personnel actions in the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS), verifying payroll reports and audits resolving issues using UKG Pro and OAKS. You will process employee leave including disability, adoption childbirth and leave of absences. You will coordinate benefit enrollments, run daily benefit reports, verify eligibility, assist employees with benefit-related questions to ensure timely and accurate updates for qualifying life events. Additionally, you will analyze data trends and prepare reports to provide insights that support decision-making.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other HR systems is important, along with the ability to define problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for handling sensitive inquiries and collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3 years' experience in human resources.
  • Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration and 12 months' experience in human resources.
  • Or 1 year experience as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612.
  • Or equivalent of education and/or experience per Minimum Class Qualifications noted above.
