Role OverviewThe Employee DOT Local Driver drives a commercial motor vehicle to transport and deliver freight, maintaining contact with dispatch or supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations.
What You Will Do
The driver performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintains shipping paperwork records, and assists in loading and unloading the truck manually if required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate is willing to transport interstate or intrastate freight as dispatched, has one year or greater previous driving experience, and possesses a valid Class A CDL License with current medical card certification.
Requirements
- one year or greater previous driving experience in the type of equipment to be operated
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- valid Class A CDL License with current medical card certification
- no previous 3-year employer history of failed or refused drug/alcohol tests
- not under FMCSA drug/alcohol follow-up testing requirements related to any SAP process
