Job Description
The Employment Specialist furthers the mission of Fathers and Families Center by providing assistance to participants in preparing for, obtaining, and retaining competitive employment with a sustainable wage. This position is also responsible for coordinating training certification exploration, enrollment, and completion as part of a participant's career path.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of direct related experience with an emphasis on job readiness training or teaching experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively with complex tasks under time pressure
  • Ability to work with general supervision and exercise independent judgment, utilizing diplomacy, tact, and good customer relations skills
  • Competence in computer usage, MS Office software, and databases with ability/willingness to learn other systems
  • Knowledge of available resources, particularly those that are employment and training related, in the Indianapolis community
