Role OverviewThe Employment Specialist will work 32 hours per week serving Covington, Butler, Crenshaw, and Pike Counties. The role requires living in one of these counties. The position provides transition-focused instruction, pre-employment skill development, job development, job coaching, and ongoing supported employment services.
What You Will Do
The Employment Specialist will maintain an assigned supported employment caseload, provide job development, job placement, onboarding, and on-the-job coaching, support individuals with applications, interviews, workplace expectations, and accommodations, and collaborate with employers to promote inclusive hiring and job retention.

Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in employment services, transition services, job coaching, or workforce development preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple service types
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across community, school, and remote settings
- DMH/ADRS Customized Employment Training required or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation and reliable home internet access required
- Flexible schedule availability may be required
- Valid driver's license required
