Job Description
The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) is the largest public housing authority in North America, serving approximately 3.9% of NYC's population. This role, as an Emergency Management Planning Associate, supports NYCHA's emergency management and services department by assisting in the comprehensive emergency management plan, preparing for large-scale events, and collaborating with other departments and stakeholders. The position offers opportunities for development, both from within and within the department.
Requirements
Assist the Planning Coordinator with maintaining the Emergency Management Plan.
Create and maintain templates, protocols, and procedures related to emergency preparedness and response.
Coordinate information between NYCHA departments and relevant partners.
Assist in test, training, and exercise planning for the Emergency Management Plan.
Support emergency response efforts coordinated by EMSD.
Work cooperatively with other departments, city agencies, and residents.
