Role OverviewAn Endoscopy Technologist assists with patient care and related services, under the direction of Physicians and Registered Nurses. The technologist must have the ability to assist with care of the adult and pediatric population.
What You Will Do
The technologist will assist/provide direct patient care throughout the entire patient experience, including pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure for the patient in undergoing an endoscopy procedure.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The individual is responsible for assembling required equipment and supplies, assisting the physician during the procedure, performing specimen collection, labeling and transportation, and assisting in room turn-around including appropriate cleaning of equipment, supplies, and environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience preferred
- Endoscopy Technician Certification preferred
- Endoscopy Technician Certification required within one year of hire
- Registered Medication Aid licensure in applicable state required
